It's been awhile!

I know, I know – dang near 3 years and no updates?!  Where to begin?  Deep breath…..ok, I’ve grown and grown to the point and age (I’ll be 4 in November) that we need to complete this process!  Yup, that’s right, the Fontan Completion (3rd and hopefully final phase) is days away – 8/14/2013 when the rooster crows 7:30 to be exact.  I’ll have pre-op on the preceding day at highnoon.  Wonder how many needles I’ll get stuck with this time – any guesses, I should set up a pool?!  Anyways, if all goes well, this will be the last major surgery I’ll have to undergo!  I’m definitely jazzed about that and they’re also going to tweak my tricuspid.  Tweak my tricuspid you ask?  Basically, there’s some regurgitation or leakage on my tricuspid valve so they’re gonna wrench on it while they’re in there doing the Fontan Completion!

 Enough technical talk and healthcare talk, sounds like the news for crying in the bucket!  Let me bring you up to date with my family.  Shortly after my last blog we received word, that I was going to be a big sister!  I’m sure most of you already know this, but the stork dropped off my sister, Gemma Jade (or Gemmie as I like to call her) on 8/5/2011.  We’re the bestest of buds, most of the time, and enjoy tormenting our family and pets!  I could go on and on, but will spare you the details – I’ll blab enough here in the near future as the big day draws near and after.  I’ll try to post some updated pictures for you all to see!  I appreciate you continued prayers and support, it gives us all strength!  Gotta run, Gemmie and I need to get outside and play in the mud before we leave!  Love, Kaylee “Beanie” Stuart
